# Blur

Hello

I’ve seen this site [http://www.fmdstudio.net/](http://www.fmdstudio.net/)

But i have an question. The text on the website looks a kind of blurry, how can i achieve that?

Yeah, but this thing is scrollable, how can i achieve the samething?

For the text in the site…probably used a mask similar to the one at the near end of [THIS PAGE](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/masks2.htm)

Since you can’t use alpha channels in masks, you could create two gradients (from white alpha100% to white alpha 0%) on top of the ends of your scrolling area. The scrollable content seems to fade to white on both ends… On that particular site, the text is probably a gif/png image with a blur/0-offset drop shadow created in photoshop…

If you want to have dynamic text scrolling, i’ve sometimes used a “generic blurry line of text” under my dynamic text; you can’t tell if the shadow has the same letters in it as your dynamic text…
