watching the news right now. there were gunshots fired in/at city hall. unfolding now. so far thats all i know i will keep updated. edit : from [cnn.com](http://cnn.com) Shooting reported in N.Y. City Hall NEW YORK (CNN) --A gunman opened fire from a balcony in the City Council chamber at New York’s City Hall Wednesday, shooting a man multiple times before being shot himself, witnesses told CNN. Two people were carried out on stretchers. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg was inside his office in the City Hall building when the shooting occurred, and is unharmed, said his press secretary, Edward Skyler. The building was sealed, Skyler said. Councilman Michael McMahon of Staten Island said he was in the City Council chamber waiting for a session to begin when someone in a balcony above shot someone four or five times. “That person went down into an aisle of the balcony,” and the shooter shot him again a couple of times. Then the shooter appeared to be shot, and he fell down, he said. “All pandemonium broke out,” he said. ---

soul, i am watchingi t right now, he was shot but still got away, but they dont even know if he was deff shot…he did get away though ---

Yah dipi is right - they say the shooter was hit, but he still got away. I hope they find the bastard and he doesnt even make into the back seat of the cop car… Iknow that’s mean - but it’s just wrong. He could have killed anyone there, it could have been my mom, or your dad - it’s not right. Someone with that much regard for human life shouldnt have any human rights. ---

no he didnt manny. they are saying how the blue suit was genious because there are 1/2 mill people with blue suits there. sureshot my dad was in NYC when this happend. but i dont htink he was near here. ---

geez man it sounds so far away yet my best friend is in NYC… she works in an hospital though - still feels fuzzy when that sort of $hit happens and you’ve got someone you like close by… hopes this turns out better… ---

this happened in SF 25 years ago… The mayor, and a City Supervisor was shot by another City Supervisor… that is why \everyone\ has to go thru the magnatomitor (in NY, the city officials didn’t)… even the mayor has to go thru security before entering City Hall… you’d think that they would have made everyone go thru the metal detector… well, they will now… Rev ![](http://www.aulman.com/rev.gif)
