one option would be to hook up something like a notebook to your tv, or if your vga card has a tv output, then you could bring your whole pc out 🙂

i know it’s pretty easy to hook the computer’s video output up to a TV. are there any input devices(special mice or keyboards) that are easy to use while you’re cozied up on the couch? so many times during the day i just want to relax and browse the web without sitting in a f#\*$ing chair! anyone feel this way?

I am currently looking for a remote software solution for the IR port of my laptop, since I often use it for playing DVD films on my TV.
just some software that sends something “keyboardshortcut alike” to the DVD playing program.
I guess I will have to learn assembler because I can’t to find a program like that, and Java is not abled to communicate with hardware like the IR port.

the problem is not a working remote, I just cannot find software to enable my laptop to understand the signals ☹

i think microsoft makes a tv internet browser… idk if it still exists tho…
the resolution on a tv is too little to be worth anything tho…

no… soon you’ll be watching TV on your computer. The combination of internet and a la carte cable is going to be frigging sweet. You’ll be able to go to a stations’ website and watch whatever you want.
