# Bug in FLASH - opacity glitch

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica][size=2]Hello
on my site:
[[color=#800080]Planet Lucid[/color]](http://www.planetlucid.com/) there is a slight image of a box that is still visible even though its opacity is set to zero. [bottom right…surrounding buttons]
The symbol itself is masking the layer of buttons below it. I really want to get rid of this distracting result…any suggestions?

erm i cant see it…
but by opacity, what do you mean?
\_alpha or \_visible?
personally if im using alpha (for fading) i make sure that when it is equivalent to \_alpha 0 its visibility is also false…

i’m getting that - but it’s caused by my monitor… maybe it’s the same with you?

ooh… erm i seem to recall getting complaints of slight colour mismatching from a friend on a past website i did… but that was involving an image with the “same” hexadecimal colour code as the bg…
cant recall how i fixed it (if i did!) tho :S
if you do have images there, make sure theyr .pngs if u can - theyr much better with flash

sometimes Color profile is not applied to images

I checked on different monitors so thats not the issue. The layer that appears is a mask, so its not a color issue either.
Basically, i’ve set a layer to mask another layer, yet you can still see a residue of the mask layer…it is a box surrounding the buttons when the page first loads… on the right side of the .swf
Please help if you can!

by opacity i gues that would mean alpha…there is no transition because the layer that shows up is set as “mask” …so naturally the layer under it is only seen through the positive space of its mask layer…

unfortunately, the mask layer still leaves a residue and i can see a strange ‘box’ that surrounds the button panel. When the page loads… it moves in to the left becasue i have a symbol on that layer moving to the left, giving a wipe effect to the layer under it (which is a png). I hope this makes sense because i really need help
