# Built In Scroll in MX2004 -- Does it work?

I’m just trying to create the simplest form of scrolling text using MX2004.

In the help menu, it indicates that I can just create a dynamic text field, then enable the ‘scrolling’ feature in the menu (in either the right click menu, or from the ‘text \>\> scrolling’ menu above).

But it isn’t working for me.

Am I supposed add a component to this (doesn’t say so in the help section).

Any suggestions appreciated; thanks,
