# Button link from inside a movie

Right now I’ve got a movie file that opens up buttons, but if I were to give the button some  
kind of AS such as  
on (click) {  
variableA = 526;  
}  
doesn’t work  
this isn’t what i have in the flash AS, just an example, but basically i need each button to  
set a bunch of variables…  
attached is what the menu is and an example of what i want from one button:
