# Buying It - where, how much, what kind

So I’m sick of not being able to use stuff like the dataGrid without buying a dev package, and I know that I’m just going to get left in the dust development wise if I don’t upgrade, so here we go.

I want to buy Flash MX 2004 Professional.

Naturally, a few questions arise, so I’ll just list the ones I have and if you can answer any/all of them, that would be great.

1. Do I want the full version or the academic version? I am a student, so I am entitled to the academic one, but I would like to make $$ off of the work that I do. I have read MM’s description of each of the licenses, but I’m still unclear as to whether or not I can use an academic version on “jobs”. My guess is “no”, but I’m not positive.

2. Where should I buy it? Is ebay a reliable source? What about the “other” sellers on Amazon. Is there some source that I’m unaware of?

3. Right now, how much should I be spending? $100? $250? $600?

Thanks much for any info you can provide. This information should be valuable to many of the people who visit this site.
