# Calling an external WMV to display INSIDE Flash

I’ve looked around online and did not find a definitive answer, so I thought I’d turn to the experts of the Kirupa community.

Is there a way to display an external WMV inside Flash, WITHOUT having to convert it, embed it, or otherwise stick it inside the SWF? The idea is that when a user is interacting with the Flash on the webpage, they will just see the WMV play inside the Flash.

Not sure why this is not possible and don’t know how to do it! please help…
