I’ve created this frameset using dreamweaver. All I want is the bottom frame to be set to a fixed width and then the flash file to resize to the space that is left in the browser window with a bit of white border around it.

This file works fine on a mac but in internet explorer the flash file dissapears leaving the bottom frame at the top of the screen. It seems that internet explorer doesn’t support relative frames - I don’t believe this to be the case though!

At the moment there are three frames

the top one for the white border at the top that is set to relative with a value of 22.

the middle one containing the flash is set to relative, value = 533 and the flash file is set with the vertical dimension set to 95% so that it resizes by height with its proportions intact.

the bottom frame is set to a pixel value of 90.

Why are the relative frames dissapearing in internet explorer on windows systems?
