# Can flash automatically update from a changing xml?

If i have flash reading from an XML file feeding the background color of the .swf. and that XML were to change… is there a way to have flash constantly ping the xml file and detect changes? p  
erhaps my understanding of XML isn’t the best, but I thought that this could be possible.
