# Can you be sued in this way?

let’s say you were laid off from your job as a web designer. It’s been over a month and your manager text messages you that there is some link on a site that is going to a wrong picture of someone and he will take legal action if you don’t change it. I left my computer/sites/logins and pwd’s with the boss that paid me my check every two weeks ( not the one that emailed me). I have nothing to do with that company anymore and I’m just wondering how a web designer can protect themselves so even a year from now a boss doesn’t try to sue you for something they don’t like just to spite you ?
