# Cannot display xml when file.jpg is in it? (parsing xml with php)

I just tried to use [http://www.kirupa.com/web/xml\_php\_parse\_intermediate.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/web/xml_php_parse_intermediate.htm) this script except it won’t display the info in the xml file if it is a filename? for example \<file\>thing.jpg\</file\> wont display. I am not trying to display the actual picture, just the words between the tags. It will display and everything else works. Any clues as to why this is?
