# Can't call a function

Hello again,

so i have that on the stage:  
\*\*mc  
mc1 (child of mc)  
mc2 (child of mc)  
function “init(\_aParam:Array)” in mc1

\*\*I am in **mc2** and i wanna call **init(someArray)**.  
I’m doing this with: \*\*MovieClip(parent).mc1.init(theArray);  
\*\*and it says: \*\*TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

\*\*So … how can i call this function …  
Please help … :crying:
