# Can't open .fla - help

Hey guys,
I finally decided to create my own style for the forums, and when I tried to download the fla from the styles thread, it didn’t work.
I open the zip, and double clicked on one of the files. Flash opens up, but it says an error :

means that the file you are opening is not from the same flash version as the one you are using.

Yeah,
but kirupa has opened it in Flash MX2004, and thats what I use. I PM’ed him yesterday.
Any other suggestions?

Oh wait - have you tried extracting the contents of your ZIP file to your hard drive before attempting to open it? I found that opening FLA files from WinZip directly causes me problems such as incomplete panels, toolbars, etc.

Oh crud!
I just tried that, but yet it didn’t work. I don’t understand why this would be happening!
