# Can't play gotoAndPlay with parent in AS3

Hello . I’m trying to create a flash file with parent gotoAndPlay to make one MC controll another MC in AS3.  
Could someone please check imy file out and tell me what I’m doing wrong?

when I publish the file I see this error messege every time I click a button:  
ReferenceError: Error #1074: Illegal write to read-only property stage on flash.display.MovieClip.  
at flash.display::Sprite/constructChildren()  
at flash.display::Sprite()  
at flash.display::MovieClip()
