I have been contracted to update a site. As some of you know this can be an insane pain in the \*\*\* since the site was initially built by someone else. I was told it was scripted in CS(1). I have CS4 and CS5. I have received and fixed untold errors when compiling the FLA files, but I am finally stumped here. Yes before I posted this I have read and tried and read and tried so many different sites and advice, but I still can’t figure this one out. Your expertise will be greatly appreciated as I am about to just call it quits on this, which I don’t want to do because I need the money. Like I said this isn’t my code and I have been dealing with tons and tons of problems the last 4 days and I have a feeling that even after this error is located another one will appear, which has been the routine here this week. Driving me nuts. * * * When I compile one of the FLA’s I get this error… TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at Canvas/initProjects()[D:\BOSS\Develolper Files\ProductionSite\Canvas.as:88] at Canvas/initialize()[D:\BOSS\Develolper Files\ProductionSite\Canvas.as:63] at Main/buildScene()[D:\BOSS\Develolper Files\ProductionSite\Main.as:36] at Main/init()[D:\BOSS\Develolper Files\ProductionSite\Main.as:24] * * * It is referring to 2 different .as files as having some issue, I have attached the 2 files.
