# Cd cover design, wat do u think?

this took about half an hour of photoshop, the two faces are me, added my own lens flare there, tell me what you think, improvements, things you hate…etc; its called “The Streets”

What absolute rubbish. The vast majority of CD artwork is raster graphics. Go to your local record shop and look around. I can guarantee that less than a third of the covers that catch your eye will be vector graphics. And as for other print projects, raster graphics are just as common as vector in the world of paper and ink.

Indiasfinest - I think you need to do as a few others have suggested and take a look at some other CD covers to see what really makes them good. Also it’s obvious that you didn’t really plan out the design in advance. From the format/dimensions (1024px x 768px at 72dpi) I can tell that this wasn’t intended to be a CD cover from the beginning.
Try doing a little more planning and work on your design skills such as colour theory, typography and composition.

Agreed // If one were to say that vector imagery is the “preferred” way of producing cd-covers, imagery, templates etc. // it’s your opinion, yes I would choose vector over raster for a business card. But to make an assumption that vector is the preferred way to produce cd-covers? ah … not in my world.
