# Change highlight color for text fields

Could anyone shed some light on changing the highlight/selection colour for selected text in a text field?

I know there was talk from [Gordon Smith](http://www.cflex.net/showFileDetails.cfm?ObjectID=421&Object=File&ChannelID=1) in 2006 about implementing this and I am sure I have seen it done, maybe as a hack, somewhere.

At the moment with white text on a black background it seems impossible to discern what text is selected.
