Hi,

Well I’ve arrived at a point where I need a little help. I’m building a site and one of the requirements is that the links change colour when you rollover them. I was wondering how I go about this keeping the hyperlink to the next page?

sorry for the newb question 🙂

If you’re using a button symbol, you can just alter the Over state of it so that the text is a different colour. 🙂

The actual link is just text. But now its not a colour rollover its a change to bold when you rollover.

Should I change the text to a symbol, create another with the text as bold and just create a normal rollover or is there a quicker way.

you could make the text into a button, where the “over” state looks just the same but with a different color, or bold or whatever…

Or you could do this:
Make a generic button. Just a rectangle with a hairline stroke and a very low alpha on the fill in the over state, and nothing in the up state will do. Then you can drag this out and transform so that it will surround the word with a slim rectangular outline and a dim hue…

Not exactly what you asked for, but it might do the trick…

the button thing is what I’m heading for I think, seems to be the easiest.
