Yup, you read it correctly.
I was just curious if it is possible, and if not if there would be a way to emulate a different color Gamma… this to give Mac users of your site the opportunity to experience it to the fullest 🙂
but then again, maybe I am just talking bollocks 😃

you could put a semitransparent rectangle above all your layers - whatever color you want to make it…

I think you need just not to worry about it. 😉 Color is different across ALL monitors, not just Mac vs PC. If things are looking dingy, and the viewers have enough sense to notice, then they can adjust their monitor settings appropriately.
