# Character Movement

I’m new to making a games, and me and my friend are trying to create one.  
So far I have walk cycles of a sprite in 4 directions forwards, backwards, left and right, each are movieclips and I’ve put them in one movieclip. But I haven’t a clue on any of the actionscript that would make them move and have the legs moving. Can anyone help me?

All I’ve found is actionsript for a static movieclip.
