# Clouds affect to rounded rectangles

Hello,
I am currenly desiging my new site and I though I’d have a rounded effective rectangle shape for my navigation menu. But when I create a rounded rectangle shape and go to filter-render-clouds it takes out the rounds and makes them normal and sharp.
If you know what I mean.
Anyway if you do what do i do, can you please help me? :}

cntrl+click your rounded rectangle layer in the layer pallette. that will put a selection around it. The do your render clouds with the selection still in place. That is the easiest wa, the most flexible is to do it with layer masks.

I tried it but it does not work! Can someone please help me, any other suggestions?

and without deselecting, activate the filter you wish and the filter should be applied to only inside that selection on the layer selected.
