can anyone guide me to a tut, or .fla etc. that will explain the AS for this menu effect???

well its pretty simple really…
each option has 2 animations, an _in_ and an _out_ if you will.
the paper is an mc which moves with the nav option, but the side binder bit is just one frame.
it utilses a simple mask as well to hide excesses… here is a VERY quick and simple mock up (i know it doesnt QUITE work all the time but fiddle and you will see…
i put them as components to make it easier to demonstrate how 2 would interact but obviously you dont need to do this, you can justy have them as movieclips…
