# Combining Flash Documents

I have 4 demonstrations, each made in their own flash document, all with multiple scenes.

Now I need to combine them into one application. I’ve made a menu in a new flash document which lets you select one of the 4 demonstrations, which then links to the corresponding external .swf file using ‘fscommand’. But this requires the user to have 5 files (1 menu, 4 demos) and in the right file structure. I really want to get it down to one .swf or .exe. so it is bone simple to use.

Question ![](http://forum.kirupa.com/uploads/kirupa/525/d5236136df0858f4.gif) : Is there any easy way to combine flash documents (.fla)? or alternatively, is there a way to import .swf files into a .fla file and retain the timeline and button control of the .swf files? (when I try this the .swf file just plays like a movie with no interactivity)
