# Combobox help

Hi, i am tyring to setup a combobox. which works great except i cannot select the first item, until one of the other items has been selected 1st! any ideas?

```php
var blendModesArray:Array = new Array();
blendModesArray.push({data:"multiply", label:"Multiply"});
blendModesArray.push({data:"screen", label:"Screen"});
blendModesArray.push({data:"lighten", label:"Lighten"});
blendModesArray.push({data:"darken", label:"Darken"});
blendingModeList.dataProvider = blendModesArray;
var dropDownListener:Object = new Object();
dropDownListener.change = function() {
    path.curr_chan.blendMode = blendingModeList.selectedItem.data;
};
blendingModeList.addEventListener("change", dropDownListener);

```
