# Compatibility of AS1.0 function in AS2.0

Hi All,  
Can anyone let me know, if a function written in AS1.0 can be invoked from an actionscript written in AS2.0.

The question arises because, iam injecting a AS1.0 function into the existing SWF file. The method invocation works perfectly when i tried to redirect a getURL call to my own function. This is where i get a doubt. Will i be able to invoke the method which i injected from the code written in AS 2.0.
