I have just done that tutorial and it works perfect if you just have a simple button on your scene, but i want to do it where i have an iregulare shape thats just visable on the edge of the scene area.

This is where my problem starts ☹ becuase of the shape its awkward you have to like trace your mouse round the shape cos if you roll off it retracts. (get me?)

if not i did this quicky version.

i need to increase the hit area but its a movie clip, how do you set a larger hit area on a movie clip?

Thanks for any help
