Hello.

Prob: The only way I can get the scroller component to work is if I link it to a dynamic textbox with the corresponding instance name. However, with the dynamic textbox I face a one font limitation. Is there any way around this? Is it also possible to insert a picture into this textbox?

different fonts: use html text and html to format the text. (search the forums if you don’t know how to do that)  
pics in dyn Text box: no, not in MX. in MX2k4 yes.
