# Confused on loading external swf

I have a flash movie thats using loadMovie() to load a swf into a clip and that works fine. The one swf I need to load into the clip on stage will only work with LoadMovieNum and a level. In this particular clip Im using loadvariables to values from a text file. Anyone seen this before?
