# Connecting to two seperate Flash "applications"

Is it possible to open a socket connection between two flash movies on seperate computers? If so, can you please post/link me a tutorial on the basics? Im trying to have a connection without the need for a server like SmartFox or ElectroServer because:

a) I have pretty much no money  
b) I am using a free domain, where I have no ability to place a application on my server (because of a).
