# Controling scroll bars in a div with CSS

if i have this:

```auto
div {
overflow: scroll;
}

```

then anytime the text goes far enough to where the verticle scroll bar is created, the horizontle scroll bar is created by default. the horizontle scroll bar is faded out and is unusable. is there any way to get rid of that horizontle scroll bar?
