# Controlling an external swf?

I have a MAIN .swf movie that has EXTERNAL .swf loading into it. Pretty basic stuff, right?  
Well, if I have a button that’s in the MAIN .swf, what’s the actionScript needed  
to control something that’s going on in the EXTERNAL .swf?  
How do I make these two .swf files talk to each other?
