# Controlling the MediaDisplay component

Hi guys, I am using flash mx2004 and I have a ‘MediaDisplay’ component named ‘vidPlayer’ on my stage. How can I build my own play, pause and stop buttons? Pretend their instance names are ‘vidPlay’, ‘vidPause’ and ‘vidStop’.

I know if I use the ‘MediaPlayback’ component I have all those buttons, but I dont like that skin and I would like to create my own. Thanks in advance.
