i keep wondering whether the real loss with automation is the rehearsal, not the task itself. once a thing becomes one-click, you stop getting those tiny reps that keep the shape of it in your hands.

i’ve felt that with a few tools i use daily — nothing breaks, but i’m slower when i have to do it the old way. what’s one automation you like, but still don’t fully trust yourself to do manually?

The one that gets me is password managers autofilling logins — I love them, but if you dropped me on a new device with no sync, I’d be embarrassingly slow getting everything set up again.
