# Convert text string into a number - how

Bah i’m doing it wrong, is there any way to make flash convert my text string into a number, so it doesn’t throw up the, text string unrelated to number error

> size\_txt.restrict = “123456789”

size\_txt.text = enteredText;  
var enteredText:Number
