# Could w3c standards be achived using ordinary html table structure & not using div?

**dear viewers, Attaining w3c compatibility for a website could be achieved only by using xhtml and css or can be achived by using normal table structure i.e tr’s and td’s ? Kindly treat this as urgent and reply ASAP because i am in the task of converting our company web site [www.sierratec.com](http://www.sierratec.com/) to w3c compatible.**

1. Wrong forum, I’m sure a mod will move it accordingly.

2. Although a table based layout could validate. To be truly compliant you should def. Use XHTML and CSS, it also has a lot of other benefits to search engines, screen readers and lots more
