Hello;

I am new at Flash MX so I have an easy question.

I have a movie (fla) I have converted a Symbol (movie clip) within that movie. Now that it is stored in the Library I drag it onto my stage and create a button to go and play frame1 (the movie clip). The button function works fine but the animation on the movie clip does not work.

What could I be doing wrong.

Please help!!!

Thank you.

What do you mean it does not work? Is the button within the movie clip or on the main (root) timeline, do you have the button refering to the instance of the movie clip, do you have the movie clip with a stop action to stop the movie?

The movie clip that would actually fade in does not. I have the button (on release) going to a frame and playing the movie clip[. It goes to the clip and shows the movie clip but actualy animation of the object fading in does not happen, it just shows the object at its final frame (at 100%)

Should be fixed now, you needed to make the eye a graphic and add a motion tween to fade it from 0% alpha to no alpha property.

Are they all seperated into different movies? What I mean is why don’t you just send me the complete .fla without having me needing to add everything.
