# Creating SWF file

Hello, i am using Flash8 with Mac OS X.10.4 previously when i wanted to create an SWF file in Flash Mx i just hit the Command/Return keys and the SWF files appeared.  
When i do this in Flash8 the SWF file appears with all the animation , but when i close the .fla file and the .swf file i was working on and try to open the .swf file using flashplayer all i get is a blank swf box, sometimes it has only 1 or two elements of my origional .fla work.  
Any ideas what is wrong?
