Ok, I know it’s been asked before but I just can’t find a proper answer about this. I’ve been given an interview and the guy is definately going to want me to be able to process online payments.

First of all, I don’t even have an idea of the process that takes place for this. I know that the details are sent over a secure connection etc but does this mean we’ll need to sign up to a hosting company for a DEDICATED server or can you get away with a shared one?

Also, how does the money actually get from their account to ours? Do you have to program a system that automatically contacts their bank and transfers money across or how does it work?

I think he’ll be looking for the cheapest option possible as they’re not a huge company.
