# Crowded interface?

Hi
Just wondering where to put the “choose language” element.
Is it immediately obvious? Would it be better to have a “are you sure you want to change language” check box.
Would people think they didn’t have thier language, if the flag wasn’t there on the main page?

Yea that is a fine place for it, also you might want to set up a script that detects the location of there ip and assigns them the proper language based off it.

what about a Drop Down Menu that says “Choose Language” then users can select it if it’s there. i think you can do without the “Downloads” text your icons are intuitive enough, or you could find/create even more intuitive ones. ([www.istock.com](http://www.istock.com), has some great iconic illustrations) - removing the downloads text would give you plenty of room for a drop down.

@ haam //fair comment but I’m programming for dummies, though if the language expands then I will get rid of “downloads”
