# \[CS3\], using ScrollBar.setScrollProperties

I have searched and Kirupa’s search engine didn’t return any results, so I guess its time to post.

I have been trying to use the setScrollProperties like this:

```auto
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("xml/images.xml");
var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(request);
loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loa);
var xml:XML = new XML();

function loa(e:Event){
	xml = new XML(e.target.data);
	txt.htmlText = '<img src="'+xml.child(0).@url+'" id="'+xml.child(0).@id+'">';
	txt.width = xml.child(0).@width;
	scroller.setScrollProperties(txt.height, 0, xml.child(0).@height, 1);
	
	
}

```

Much to my dismay, I do not understand how to make this method work. I was wondering if anyone else has used this function, and if they could provide an example that works? To me, I am left wondering about how this thing is supposed to work after reading the docs, but I still can’t get any kind of change by modifying the parameters of the method.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
