# CSS basics, creating this design

Hi all, I am just a beginner in CSS.  
Can someone tell me how to create a rounded bordered table? All I need is the outlined area without background colour, just the 1 px border colour on the edges.  
Or  
Attached is a sample of what I am trying to build and what I have achieved (which is horrible!). I need some basic guidance!
