# CSS Horizontal Rule..help pls

How do you create a CSS horizontal rule, and what do you apply it to? I’ve been using a cheap workaround which looks ok, but leaves too much space before and after the horizontal rule. Basically I’ve been including a dashed bottom line in my “box” class, which is applied to each div with content.
