hey guys, I was trying to recreate a very basic masking effect using css that I had seen somewhere a while ago, and came up with this: [http://web.mit.edu/ryan786/www/test/test.html](http://web.mit.edu/ryan786/www/test/test.html) (mouse over the grey strip).

That’s all well and good, but I couldn’t figure out how to mask something larger than the shape it’s hiding behind. Like this: [http://web.mit.edu/ryan786/www/test/blah.html](http://web.mit.edu/ryan786/www/test/blah.html)

Any thoughts?
