I’m working on a small website who would like to launch within 100 days from now. However, he wants a temporary version of the website with minimal functionality in the meantime. But this website already contains a bunch of links for which the pages themselves don’t exist yet.

What I’d like is to show the user a kind of default page that shows up when the user tries to access a page that doesn’t exist. However, the client doesn’t have a webhost yet, so I was wondering if it was possible to make such a custom “Page not found” page without knowing what kind of webhost he will have in the future.

I never made such a page, so I wouldn’t know what needs to be done.
