# Custom PHP/MySql FOrum

Hello everybody,

Will be doing a website for my church pretty soon.

From what I know, it’s gonna include just a forum and some links and such.

I’ve done some basic programming of a forum with .PHP/MySql and it doesn’t seem to be too hard - is it worth it though? Should I instead go with PHPBB?

The thing I like about a custom setup is the freedom to make my own changes and such - e.g., requiring a user be registered for the forum to enter the website (instead of having two passwords - one to get into the website and one to log in to the forum) and integrate the two passwords.

Is it the way to go then?
