I´m working on the XML portfolio gallery from [this tutorial](http://www.kirupa.com/web/xml/examples/portfolio.htm)

I´d like to customize the gallery and the thumbs a little, so my questions are:

1. How can i mask the thumb, so they get a desired shape?

2. How can I add a title on each thumb without rollover?

thanks a lot for any help.
