# Deciphering "XMLList querying syntax"

Could someone help clarify what that “querying” end part of this XMLList is doing? I’m actually still quite new to using XML (I have been trying to avoid it)

```auto
var data:Array = [];
data = data.concat(parse(_xml.factory.metadata.**(|>@name == "*")**));
data = data.concat(parse(_xml.factory.variable.metadata.(|>@name == "*")));
data = data.concat(parse(_xml.factory.method.metadata.(|>@name == "*")));
new Analizer(data);

```
