# Default Mail Client on a Mac

I need to change my default mail reader from Mail to Gmail reader. Usually you would be able to do this by going to General settings in Mail, however something is wrong with Mail and it keeps hanging up and closing making it impossible to change any settings.

Can you change your default mail reader on a Mac without using Mail?
