why is it so much harder to design my portfolio than to make stuff I did for other people?

there are so many things I can do and everything seems to end up a blur does anyone else seem to have this problem or is it just me?

could some one just tell me a few things that my portfolio show do/be as some of you guys are in the industry and have seen your sights and some of them are awesome!!
